Ingredients Whole eggs, Egg yolk, Dried egg whites,
Benefits Powdered egg products are typically buried in sugary pre-packaged baked goods as just one ingredient amongst many others that make the treat taste sweeter with none of the health benefits of the original egg maintained. Since OvaEasy has perfected our proprietary low-temp crystallization process, our Whole Egg Crystals can stand alone as a fulfilling meal or snack with none of the flavor or nutritional value sacrificed. The powerful egg white protein paired with the essential vitamins, calcium, magnesium and more from the egg yolk makes for a well-rounded meal to satisfy any craving.
How We Make Egg CrystalsEggs are a staple of a healthy diet, and now they can be a staple in your pantry, too. OvaEasy’s Whole Egg Crystals don’t require refrigeration, and better yet, you can stock up and always have a pouch or can handy with impressive shelf lives between 3-7 years. Eggs cook at as little as 144F degrees, so when typical egg powder products are produced with heat exceeding 350F degrees, the essence of the egg isn’t quite the same and it’s evident in the taste. We dry our egg crystals at temperatures below 144F degrees to preserve the full flavor and functionality, so when you add water and cook our egg crystals the way you like, they’ll taste just like the whole egg we started with. Egg enthusiasts rave about our fresh, flexible five-star egg crystals and we know you will, too.
I used one package the 1st day I received my order. I made scrambled eggs, a cake & pudding. I am impressed with the taste for scrambled eggs, it was pretty close to fresh eggs & I could not tell any difference used in baking. A little pricy but I live 15 miles from a store that would have fresh eggs if I run out so I really like having a shelf stable product for that, camping & emergencies.
haven't opened the new batch, they probably won't be opened until I need them. I can comment on past batches however. I have found no difference in taste of quality for more the last 5 yrs I have purchased your product. I like the newer packaging options like the #10 Cans w/individually sealed dozen egg packets. This great to ensure best quality.
Haven’t tried yet, set aside for food storage. But I’ve heard good things about it.
I've been using OvaEasy egg crystals exclusively for several years now, and love them. They're tasty, versatile, and can be used at home, on the road or wherever.
Love these eggs. They actually taste like our fresh eggs. We have tried other brands and I suppose they’re okay for baking, but never for scrambled eggs or omelets.
I love these egg crystals! In my opinion, the scrambled eggs these crystals make are just as, if not more so, tasty as regular eggs! Added benefit: ALL yellow and no slimy white bits! I always keep a stock of them on the shelf. Extra benefit: these do not take up space in the fridge!
Using them since 2020... As of 26 Dec 2023, Lot number B2020AFD with DOP 0076, 4.5 oz remained perfect in original package despite Best By date of Feb 2023. When opened and dumped into a "lock & lock" container, the crystals were just fine well over a year after opening with no drop in quality. And as always... still easy mix, easy cook, easy clean.
Similar to fresh eggs. I used them for scrambled eggs, using a combination of water and milk.
Have not used them yet. I purchased based on a review by Kevin Outdoors.
Cooked up some eggs within fifteen minutes of receiving my order, skeptics in the house were very surprised by the taste and consistency! Three thumbs up!
OvaEasy egg crystals are so easy to prepare and taste delicious!! Product is as described and I will definitely be reordering. Thank you OvaEasy!!
We have used these for a few years... make great scrambled eggs. We keep a couple of bags of crystals on hand for a start on a great breakfast, so I am a long time repeat customer. Delivery was prompt, eggs were good. What more could I want?
I have tested one time for two scrambled eggs, mixed with some liquid egg whites and veggies. The taste was better than expected, but the liquid seemed too much for two eggs. I reconstituted the eggs (2 Tbs of powder with 3 Tbs of water). It mixed well with no lumps by using a fork to wisk. I let it rest ten minutes before cooking. The texture wasn't exactly like fresh eggs, but it tasted pretty good. It had too much liquid and I had to over cook the product to get the liquid to steam off, so I worry that it may affect any baking I try to do with the eggs. I will test the next time I bake something and update my review. I think i might try 50/50 on the reconstituting to see if that fixes the problem. So far, I would recommend this product as an emergency backup or for backpacking. I appreciated the smaller packages so I didn't have to open a giant can just to test the product or use for those days I run out of eggs.
