How We Make Egg CrystalsProtein works best when consumed regularly throughout the day, and what better way to get a quick boost than OvaEasy’s grab-and-go Egg in a Cup? If your destination has a microwave, OvaEasy’s Egg in a Cup can come, too. Our flavorful options are already prepped so your eggs are exactly the way you like them—just add water and you’re set to get snacking. The best part is, you don’t have to worry about sacrificing taste for convenience! Our low-temp crystallization process ensures the egg does not exceed 144F degrees, unlike other powdered egg products cooked at more than 350F degrees. Such high heat harms the egg and changes its flavor profile, which is evident when you try to cook the egg again for consumption. OvaEasy provides real-egg satisfaction every time because real eggs are at the base of everything we do.
I eat the egg in a cup about twice a week for breakfast and it is so easy and tastes like homemade. Add a little cheese and you are good to go for the morning!
To use for those lazy hazy days whenever. Tried fir variety pack but unavailable do adding my own variety if easy additions. Started with cheese and continued w herbs…..
I got hooked on Omelets in the Navy- a friend cooked 1000 omelets every morning on the USS Coral Sea. I don't eat them often nor use eggs for any other cooking- the "Egg-in-a-cup" works perfectly for my needs...cook up a cup then mix in some cheddar cheese and Black Forest ham...add some fresh-ground pepper on top. Great, quick and easy!
Great love it and will continue to buy it every chance I get
Love it, makes a perfect breakfast and is low in calories. Please put out more flavors like you used to have, other than that it's perfect
I thought it might be a good idea to stock up on egg substitutes what with bird flu, poisoned chicken feed preventing hens from laying, and fires at egg farms. OvaEasy has short, medium, and longer term storage options so I chose their products. I tested Egg in a Cup sausage flavored and fully expected to get freeze-dried, powdered cardboard in protein form. TOTALLY NOT! Read the label. That’s what it tastes like. 100% satisfied. NOTE! Microwave ovens are not all created equal. Mine cooks these perfectly at 96 seconds on High; OvaEasy’s microwave is newer and only takes a minute. As they say, Your mileage may vary. But cooked right, these are the best freeze dried product I’ve ever tasted.
I just add cheese, bacon and more ground pepper to make this taste better. Would have tried the other 2 but one has soy in it and the other spinach - not for me.
I don't understand the 5 star reviews for this product. They actually taste horrible and the texture is mushy. No one in my home will eat these. All I can do with them is add them to my bread dough. Waste of $100. They're not even fit for my survival buckets.
These are REAL dehydrated eggs and taste the same as the ones in the shell, but are easy to take anywhere as they don’t need refrigeration. I buy cases of these and have never had any problems. A little water, pop into the microwave and you’ve got breakfast.
I took a small leap and purchased 3 cases of 24 units when they were on sale on Woot. I purchased one of each flavor. Previously my downfall with this type of product has been confined to the texture being off from the real thing. I was apprehensive I was going to be stuck with 71 cups of this product that I would find not palatable enough to eat and would give it away. To my delight, these are the real deal. The texture is spot on perfect. I even gave some to my wife on the down low and she didn’t identify them as an ‘instant’ product. The flavors are all pretty good as well. No need to add much salt unless that is your thing. Buy some and try some.
Tried a small order and quickly came to appreciate how nice it is to have Egg in a Cup on the shelf. They taste fine, although it took a couple of tries to adapt the instructions to my microwave. Have tried sausage and salt & pepper, both were very good. Try it, you’ll like it!
Very good = easy to make, fast, and good taste, good texture. Enjoyed it!
