How We Make Egg CrystalsEggs are a staple of a healthy diet, and now they can be a staple in your pantry, too. OvaEasy’s Whole Egg Crystals don’t require refrigeration, and better yet, you can stock up and always have a pouch or can handy with impressive shelf lives between 3-7 years. Eggs cook at as little as 144F degrees, so when typical egg powder products are produced with heat exceeding 350F degrees, the essence of the egg isn’t quite the same and it’s evident in the taste. We dry our egg crystals at temperatures below 144F degrees to preserve the full flavor and functionality, so when you add water and cook our egg crystals the way you like, they’ll taste just like the whole egg we started with. I usually dehydrate my own backpacking food, but eggs have always been my least favorite thing to prepare by FAR, so I decided to try these. We boil soak in freezer bags on the trail, so since we weren't going to be "cooking" these in a skillet/pan, we ran the risk of having them be soupy (but safe--they're pasteurized and got a quick cook with the boiling water) in our trail breakfast taco mixture. To get around this, I added some instant mashed potatoes (about 2:1.5 eggs to mashed potatoes) and a small amount of instant rice to soak up the eggs and fluff it up--worked perfectly for a scrambled-like texture without the fuss. Our meal also had some dehydrated hashbrowns, sweet potatoes, and refried beans, which further helped with the texture. Overall, easier to prepare and tastier than my home-dehydrated eggs, and without the funky dried egg smell. I'll be buying these for all future trips that warrant a dehydrated breakfast!

These egg crystals are better than any of the other brands we’ve tried, and we’ve tried alot! We use them for breakfasts on our canoe trips, or in other recipes calling for eggs. They are the closest thing to fresh eggs that we’ve ever had.

I love these eggs. We normally purchase a dozen fresh eggs a week, but if we run out, we use OvaEasy. if we make scrambled eggs or omelets we have trouble noticing whether they are fresh or OvaEasy.

Your eggs are wonderful and such a great item to have on hand in these times of uncertainty. This is my second order. With my first order I made some, only adding a small amount of butter to the pan. I gave them to my husband without telling him the eggs where Ovaeasy eggs and thought they where fresh eggs! These are so versatile, can be used in baking, scrambled, quiche, and frittata recipes. I haven’t used them for baking but when they are scrambled they are just like fresh eggs in color, flavor and texture.
We bought it several years ago and have recently been eating it. Even though it is past the expiration date, it is delicious! I love making french toast with it. We loved it so much, we bought it again for long term storage.
These eggs are super easy to prepare and taste really good! MUCH better than powdered eggs!! They are great in baked goods, and are convenient for camping! Highly recommend!!!
